5 Great Spots To Kiss On Campus

Where the local Bears go to kiss.

A note to incoming freshman: whether you’re coming into college with your long term high school boyfriend (I'm sure its going to work out!) or looking for love and your ring by spring ... this is a list you need to know.

Personally, I have not embarked on an endeavor so bold- but through research, data collection, and asking my frisky friends, I have compiled a list of the best places to make out on the Baylor Campus. Take a peek.

1. The Courtyard by Bennett Auditorium

This spot is nice because it’s secluded. It is sort of a garden, which is almost biblical. And apparently the bushes are high enough to make-out behind. This is a romantic option because you’ll be close to the room you may be taking political science in one day. Which is a great segue to move inside the auditorium and show them which row you sit in and which seat is yours ... and the details you've learned about Roe v. Wade."

2. Boyfriend Bench

This is a classic. It’s trademarked. “The Boyfriend Bench in Front of Collins” is definitely a “goodbye kiss bench.” If you find yourself at this bench, it probably means he walked you home- which is good! Those Baylor Gentlemen are great. For decades, women have DTR’d here and if you’re not quite ready to make that commitment you can always walk around the corner for a kiss or two. Critics rave about “the back wall," “Collins parking lot," and some daredevils … even inside the dorm. (CL’s do not approve!)

3. McLane Stadium

Can you get more Baylor than this? A sunset over looking the beautiful brown Brazos ... with the McLane Stadium as your backdrop. There are big stone steps to the right of the stadium that are a great place to bring your Baylor boy. It's great because you’re far enough away that RGIII can't see. This sunset will send you and your potential #ringbyspring candidate into a Baylor love coma.

4. 5th Street Parking Garage

The number one perk of being on top of the 5th Street Parking Garage? No one's ever there. And guess what? There's more. You have a great view of the stars at the top floor and your Waco radio favorites are sure to have a great connection! Other than that ... I think it's really just making out, in a car, in a parking garage, on your college campus, as a freshman -- so how great can it really be? But if you’ve gotta kiss, you’ve gotta kiss. So let your freak flag fly and turn the car lights off, but keep the motor on because A/C is really important in Texas!

5. Library

Oh! Now this is so college. This option has been reviewed by multiple sources. Some prefer study rooms where you have a door between you and the rest of the students. For ultimate security or if you're a planner -- you can check out a key to a locked study room in Moody. Now that is some dedication! Another option, for a nice study break, can be in the book stacking area of Jones. “It's more isolated over there and it's more quiet,” sources say.

Feel free to do your own research once you arrive. Just be safe, smart, and stay in well lit areas!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
