There are few greater things than coming home for break after exams.
And coming home for a whole month means you can get settled in and enjoy the wonderful amenities of home. Here's a few things that I enjoy when I come home (in no particular order):
1. My bed and bedroom
One of my favorite past times is taking a good nap and nothing is better than curling up in my own bed and sleeping. I also like having a room to myself for a while. Even though I have one of the best roommates around (shoutout to Lizzie), I enjoy some good privacy sometimes and not having to worry about waking my roomie up.
2. My pets
I love getting to see all of my pets when I get home. I get so much joy from being greeted by my dogs at my car when I pull up in the driveway. I love having my cats curl up at the end of my bed and fall asleep. My pets fill a big spot in my heart and I miss them so much when I am at school. I think I cried more about leaving my pets rather than leaving my sisters (sorry Ashley and Amanda).
3. The wifi
Need I say more? No slow wifi! The wifi at home is considerably faster and more efficient. I can watch at least ten Snapchat stories in the time it takes three to load at school. I can also watch Youtube videos faster, which is nice because I don't have to let it buffer every five seconds. I also use less data when I am at home because the wifi is always working and I don't have to use my phone as a hotspot just to turn an assignment in.
4. My family
Sometimes in your life you just need a good hug from your mom, and it really stinks when she's not around to give you a hug and her love. It also stinks when she's not around to give you advice when you really need it. Plus, it's nice to be around my sisters. They always make me laugh. I always enjoy seeing them because it's rough being around your sisters for 18 years then all of a sudden you're separated. My grandparents also live really close to me so I love coming home to see them. My grandparents do so much for me and I love them so much. I don't know what I would do without them.
Last but not least...
5. My Clean Shower
It is such a refreshing experience not to have to have to wear shoes in the shower. It's also nice not to find someone's hair on the floor or find random shower items left behind by someone else. Also at home, you don't have to fight for your favorite shower. It's super annoying when you walk into the bathroom only to find that YOUR shower has been taken by some other resident (I'm talking to you Lane). But at home, you never have to worry about your shower being taken and you don't have to question it's cleanliness.
