Every student knows the pressure of signing up for next semester's classes. You have to search through the online database, go see your advisor, and obviously text your friends to see if y'all can be in any of the same classes. Sometimes it can feel like you're waging a war when you need that one last class to complete your major requirements and of course, it's full! Getting registered is annoying and stressful, but when it's all over and you have a schedule where you don't even have class until Tuesday afternoon, clearly you did something right.
1. Trying to figure out the classes you need.

Actual footage of me on my laptop attempting to find a 4000-level general elective course. Looking through all the course codes can be seriously grueling, especially when you find out the class you wanted isn't even being offered this semester.
2. Going to see your academic advisor.

After figuring out what classes you need, you know you need to head over to your advisor's office to make sure that they're all correct and fit your requirements. This gif is when you finally gather the strength to make the treacherous journey all the way across campus, only to find out your advisor isn't doing walk-in hours this week!
3. Calling your friends to see what classes they're taking.

Me on the phone with all my friends who aren't even in my major asking them to take classes with me. Taking classes with your friends is fun, and it makes you more likely to actually go to class when you know you already have a friend there waiting for you!
4. Contemplating if you should just drop all your classes and flee the country.

When most of the classes you need are already full, and your advisor says he can't meet with you until next week- a new life in Aruba sounds great, right? Studies show that most students contemplate dropping out and leaving America at least four times a semester. (Not actual accredited scientific studies, but just my own personal findings.)
5. When you finally get enrolled in all your courses and the process is over.

You have got to acknowledge the fact that you are done dealing with that painful process. Celebratory drinks are a must because you realize you actually have to take all those hard classes you just signed up for in just a few short weeks.
