If you knew that there were somethings out there to make your life a little easier, wouldn't you want to use them? Here are just a few of my favorite gadgets and tricks that I use in my everyday life to keep myself sane. Check them out and maybe they can make your life a little easier too!

1. Extra-long phone charging cords

Do yourself a favor and get yourself a longer charging cable. It can reach around the back of the couch, from the foot of your bed to your pillow, and from the wall at a restaurant to the table. They are extremely handy and helpful and not even very expensive! Get one here.

2. Venmo

Venmo is a money-sending app and website that allows you to send or recieve money instantly to or from your friends from a credit card ot bank account. It is especially helpful for paying back money that you owe someone or splitting a bill when you don't have cash on you. Check it out here.

3. Phone/Keys Locating Services

Do you know anybody who loses their phone or car keys all the time? There are actually a couple of ways to help them out. For those of us with iPhones, iCloud has a service called "Find My iPhone" which can not only locate your phone, iPad, or Mac computer, but it can also have the device make a sound if it is connected to the internet, even if it is on silent. You can use this service from the Find My iPhone app, or by logging into your iCloud account here. Android users can find a similar feature through Google called Android Device Manager. It works similarly to Find My iPhone, and you can register your device with this link by logging into your Google account.

For car keys, there is a different kind of gadget. A small keychain like device called Tile uses Bluetooth to allow you to track down your keys if you misplace them. And to be honest, it can also be used for your phone, or anything that you want to stick it to! Find it here.

4. Phone Wallet Sticker

Don't get me wrong, I love carrying around a purse that I can fit absolutely everything in, however, sometimes it is just not plausible to carry around a giant bag. In this case, this little pocket on the back of my phone is just perfect for my ID and credit card or maybe some cash. This is the one I have, and it works perfectly holding more than 2 cards plus cash.

5. Ringtones

So, having ringtones for every different friend might be a childish thing and one of the past, but with all of the phone calls and texts one gets each day, it might not be a bad idea to change just a couple of ringtones so you know when you really need to stop what you're doing to check your texts or answer a phone call. Give it a try and see what you think!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
