Fall. It’s that wonderful time of year when the leaves the change, the air cools down and we can finally pull the scarves, sweaters and boots out of the closet. It also opens a whole slew of new date ideas. For those of us in the sunshine state of Florida, we don’t always get to see the falling leaves or wear boots, but that doesn’t mean we can’t partake in the classic fall festive activities with our significant other by our side. Here are a few ideas of places to take "insta-worthy" photos in the Tampa Bay area this fall season.

1. Howl-O-Scream

This classic annual event has been held at Busch Gardens for the past seventeen years. Haunted Houses, scare zones and even intense scary shows are the perfect place to take your other half to hold your hand for a few hours. Howl-O-Scream will be held on select nights until October 30, so hurry over now to enjoy the haunted houses.

2. Hyde Park Pumpkin Patch

This is a can’t-miss pumpkin patch. From now until October 30, Hyde Park will be hosting its annual pumpkin patch at Village Circle. Cool air, pretty pumpkins and your cutie by your side? What could be better?

3. Ghost Tour

Stories of haunted mansions, curses, tragic love stories and real ghost stories, these are all things you can experience at Ghost Tour of St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay. While you can go on this tour year round, the spooky candlelight tour feels so much better in cold air and sets the mood for a fantastic Halloween.

4. Chamber of Terror

This haunted house is held on a ship, the SS American Victory, with enough creepy sights and stories to send chills down your spine all night long. This four-hour-long experience is so intense that you’ll want nothing more than to snuggle up with hot cocoa (or pumpkin spice, your choice) and movies afterward.

5. Harvestmoon Farm

This local establishment has been hosting this classic five acre corn maze for 50 years now, and they have added many activities to enjoy on the side. This family friendly farm has a pumpkin patch suitable for everything from Jack-O-Lantern sized pumpkins, to high quality gourds for making that perfect pumpkin pie. The Jumping Pillow, a giant trampoline and corn ball court make this trip worth every penny and minute you spend.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
