I think the thing people look forward to the most on Thanksgiving is eating great food with your family and friends. Our lives revolve around the food we eat with friends and family as we age. Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, but you should give thanks every day. To me, Thanksgiving is a day that everyone sets aside so that they can be with their family and friends while eating a great meal. We all have some of our favorites foods, and here are some of the ones we especially look forward to!

1. Turkey

Personally, I don't like turkey. It's not my favorite thing, but more like something I tolerate. I know most people look forward to it so it's on my list. Also, how can I NOT add it? I'm not a monster.

2. Mashed potatoes

I love red mashed potatoes. They are like a wet dream for me, but the makes sense because I have a thing for potato products. I love the potatoes my nan makes the best. I can make them EXACTLY as she does and them still not taste as good as when she makes them. I guess love really is the special ingredient.

3. Green Bean Casserole

This stuff is amazing. I want to keep the dish right next to me the whole night. I can't LIVE without it on Thanksgiving. I also get mad at anyone who wants to eat it too. What can I say? I'm possessive of my food.

4. Stuffing

Unpopular opinion...I HATE stuffing. It makes me sick, but it someone said name something that reminds you of thanksgiving besides turkey...Most people would say stuffing. I can respect that, even if I don't agree with it.

5. The desserts...well, the pies

I live for dessert and I like the pumpkin pie or the cheesecakes. Those two just will make my life complete. Especially if the cheesecake is mixed with fruit. The pies are great and all, but cheesecake is the only right way to end the night.

Well, great...now I'm hungry. Is it Thanksgiving yet?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
