Standing outside the walls of Alexandria is very surreal

I recently went to Atlanta, Georgia for “Walker Stalker Con Atlanta” and it was a great experience! I also went to several places from the show "The Walking Dead" as well and it was an incredible experience too. Here’s my top 5 favorite locations!

1. Where it all started

This was the alley way that Glenn was hiding down in Season 1, Episode 2 “Guts." Rick would run up the street to this spot and run down the alley and then climb up a ladder with Glenn to escape a herd of walkers.

2. Woodbury

Woodbury (Senoia was used as the location) played a major part in Season 3 of the show, as it was where the Governor, Phillip Blake, was the leader of a community of survivors that would rage war with Rick and the group! Also check out “Nic and Norman’s” if you are ever down in the area. It’s really good!

3. Alexandria Safe Zone

This was quite possibly the most surreal place to stand. We were standing right outside the walls where so much of the story has taken place. This was an amazing experience and I really wish I could have taken pictures inside, but security ended up telling me to go away. Regardless, this was very fun to see in person. It is also right outside of Senoia, which is also known as Woodbury.

4. The Hospital Rick woke up in

The hospital from the series premiere “Days Gone Bye." This was the location where Rick woke up from his coma and was introduced into the Walker infested world that we know and love from the series. In reality, it’s actually an abandoned shelter of some kind.

5. Esco Feed Mill

This feed mill played a key role in negotiations between Woodbury and the Prison group in Season 3. This was mainly “Arrow on the Doorpost” where Rick has a sit down with The Governor to discuss peace options. It is also featured in the opening credits for Seasons 3-5.

Bonus: Terminus

Terminus was the home to a group of Cannibals who lured people in by pretending to be a welcoming community. They were at one point until a group of bandits made them change their ways. This location was used in Season 4 Episode 16: “A” and Season 5 Episode 1 “No Sanctuary."

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
