Sibling relationships are weird. Some days you might be best friends with your siblings while other days you feel like there can't be any way that you are related. But sibling bonding time is always fantastic because it's a fun time that will (hopefully) bring you and your siblings closer together. Here are some fun activities that you can try with your siblings.
1. Movie time
My siblings and I all have similar movie tastes, but this would also be fun if you and your siblings don't. Maybe you'll find a new movie that you love or you'll see why your sibling loves the movies that they do. Or you could just watch low budget scary movies or marathon romantic comedies and provide commentary. More often than not the extra commentary is funnier anyway.
2. Cooking or Baking
It's always fun to cook or bake together because that's so collaborative. Assign everyone a different task and relish in the awesomeness that happens when it all finally comes together. Plus, when you're done you'll have a delicious snack to eat together.
3. Shopping
Honestly, what you're shopping for is pretty irrelevant. The best part about shopping with your siblings is trying on ridiculous clothing, finding weird matching accessories that you all feel the need to buy, and making fun of the weird things that you find in stores sometimes. Like the slogans on shirts or the weird As Seen On TV products.
4. Nighttime Talks
Sometimes accidentally staying up until 2:30 in the morning and talking is the best way to go about bonding. It's like having a sleepover without having to leave your own bed, it's great. And there's something about the absurdity of the late hour that makes every story so much funnier. Plus, you'll probably learn some new thorns about your siblings because people always end up just spilling all of their thoughts when they're tired.
5. Board games
Now, this one could get dangerous or drag on for ages. Some board games can get pretty intense because people get super competitive. But if you know there's a good chance of no one flipping a table or anything, then board games are a great option for sibling bonding activities. As long as none of your siblings are majorly sore losers, this should be a fun activity for everyone. And is especially good if there's a big age gap between you and your siblings or if you are a big group because most board games are made for these kinds of situations.
Realistically it doesn't matter what you're doing, what matters is that you're all together having a good time. Sibling bonding time is all about making memories and growing closer with your siblings. Appreciate the time you're able to spend with your siblings (and your family in general) because chances are there will be long stretches of time where you won't be able to see them for a while (for example, when you're at school across the country).
