Since the dawn of the Golden Age, comic book enthusiasts have asked one question, over and over: Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman?

I think that's the wrong question, though. Don't get me wrong, the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight are both great heroes (and I think we all know who would win between the two of them), but they're not the only powerhouses in the Justice League of America. Actually, in terms of raw power, they probably don't even rank. Here's a list of five JLA members who could easily overpower both Batman and Superman, in my opinion.

1. The Flash (Wally West, pre-New 52)

Wally West is primarily recognized as the first Kid Flash. However, after Barry Allen (the most well-known Flash) seemingly died saving the multiverse in the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, Wally took on the mantle of the Flash.

Now, there are four holders of the Flash title (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, and Bart Allen), and several speedsters in the DC comicverse. You're probably wondering, "Why pick Wally for this list?" Well, here's the rough science behind it: DC speedsters draw their power from something called the speed force. Most speedsters have the ability to tap into it, while a few derive their speed from temporary formulas such as Velocity-9.

But Wally doesn't just tap into the speed force; he's actually connected to it. You can't cut him off from it, so even if Batman attempted to use some speed-dampening gadget, it wouldn't affect him. Also, since Wally is connected with the speed force, he possesses the ability to give and take away kinetic energy. This means that as well as lending someone speed, he can also take their speed away, effectively turning them into a living statue. He did this to Inertia, and he could do it to Superman.

Also, if that isn't enough, Wally can always use the Cosmic Treadmill to run back in time and stop Bruce Wayne from ever being born, so, 'nuff said.

2. Kyle Rayner

In the DC comics, there's an ideology known as the Emotional Spectrum. It ties nine different colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, white, and black) to different emotions. Each Lantern Corp channels a different emotion that powers their ring and their powers. The rings are kind of like wands in Harry Potter--they choose their users, and only someone worthy of their power and ideals can wield them properly.

The Green Lantern Corps channel the power of will--so naturally, it's made up of the most stubborn people you'll ever meet. And their rings are actually defined as the "most powerful weapons in the universe". Whatever the wearer can imagine, the ring can create a construct of, so the sky's the limit. The rings can also create force fields and lasers.

Kyle Rayner was originally a member of the Green Lantern Corps. However, in one comic books storyline, he's turned into a magnet for the rings of all seven existing lantern corps, and ends up bearing every ring at once. Just as the combination of every color in the color spectrum creates white, so does the combination of every ring on the emotional spectrum, and Kyle is transformed into a White Lantern Corps member.

White Lantern rings create constructs that are powered by life itself and possess godlike power. They can eradicate swarms of Black Lanterns (which are superheroes and supervillains brought back as zombies for evil purposes) and even resurrect the dead.

Kyle Rayner's White Lantern ring in particular possesses the abilities of every lantern corps ring (except for black): red plasma, humanoid and independent construct creation, fear-based constructs, will-based constructs, healing power, teleportation, and the ability to force someone to feel love.

Simply put, Rayner's White Lantern ring puts Green Lanterns to shame, and it would be more than capable of taking out the Dark Knight or the Man of Steel.

3. John Constantine

Aka everyone's favorite chain-smoking magician/exorcist/conman/detective. Technically, John Constantine doesn't belong to the mainstream Justice League of America, but to Justice League Dark. Justice League Dark deals with situations that are more supernatural and out of the JLA's control. They're kind of like the Green Berets of fighting magic and monsters.

John Constantine possesses the ability to time travel, resurrect the dead, render himself invisible, transport magically, create illusions, curses, rituals, & magical protection, and even make his own luck. But while Constantine's definitely magically gifted, he doesn't generally rely on sorcery to win, and favors using cunning and trickery. He's actually manipulated both Batman and Superman, as well as THE LORDS OF HELL.

The only thing he can't do, really, is keep his TV series from lasting more than one season. But hey, he's been drafted into the Arrowverse, so I guess his luck hasn't run out yet.

4. Vibe (Cisco Ramon)

Although he's best known as Barry Allen's metahuman friend and tech-savvy sidekick in CW's The Flash, Cisco Ramon is a host unto himself in DC comic books.

Cisco gained his powers when he was exposed to the event horizon of a boom tube (a high-tech teleportation device). The inter-dimensional energy rewrote his DNA, giving him the power to create powerful shockwaves that can shatter steel and concrete, as well as disrupt the Speed Force, meaning he can neutralize the Flash's power.

Vibe also possesses above-average agility, high-level combat skills (he was trained by Batman), the power to track inter-dimensional breaches, and the ability to render himself invisible to cameras. Amanda Waller, head of ARGUS, actually stated that he might be one of the most powerful metahumans on Earth-1, and recruited him with the purpose of stopping the Justice League if they ever went rogue. His powers even have the potential to tear the planet apart.

Fact is, you don't mess with Vibe.

5. Raven

There are a lot of amazing butt-kicking DC superheroines. However, I feel that Raven is one of the most powerful. Best-known as a primary member of the Teen Titans, Raven is also a member of both the Justice League and the Justice League Dark.

Her birth was the result of the unwilling union of the human Arella and the demon Trigon. Raven is a half-demon sorceress who can sense and influence emotions, heal pain by absorbing it, fly, amplify pride, predict the future, fight with her bare hands, and project astral energy in the form of a black bird known as her soul-self. Her soul-self can travel over long distances, become intangible, communicate through telepathy, act as a shield, and subdue someone else's will.

Raven can also control darkness, time, and energy (and emotions, as previously stated). She can use these powers to inflict pain, create illusions, and steal emotions. She has an affinity for magic and use spells to create fireballs or induce unconsciousness, and can take down an entire demon army single-handed.

And if that's not enough, her father Trigon attempted to use her power and physical form as a conduit to destroy the entire world. So she's definitely someone you don't want to tick off.

All in all, the heroes on this list may not be as popular as Batman and Superman, but they're certainly more powerful. I'm tired of hearing debates about those two dorks. I want to know who would win if Raven and Constantine had a fight.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
