Welcome to the life of a college student. You are not alone on this stressful journey, though. Here are the top five concerns all college students are facing just like you!
1.How do I make good grades and have a social life?
This is a question everyone is still trying to find the answer to. Balancing school and a social life is an art of its own. It’s never easy trying to do two things at once, and sometimes the best solution is to just stay determined and take a deep breath.
2. How am I supposed to pay my bills?
College isn’t cheap. Not to mention that the cost of living on your own is terrifying. No one prepared you for this in high school and suddenly you’re halfway through college wondering how to pay for groceries, rent, and power. And then you regret ever telling your parents you were ready to grow up.
3. What major is the “right” major?
WILL PEOPLE STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO MAJOR IN? Why suddenly is there pre-determined majors that are more successful than others. What happened to going to college to broaden your horizons? Why is it when I tell people my major, they follow by asking what job I plan to get with that. Let’s all just study what we enjoy, and move on with it.
4. Am I going to find a job when I graduate?
Probably the most terrifying of all of the concerns. Will I find a job? What a great question. America’s workforce has become so competitive that every college student feels scared for what the future may hold. Take deep breaths, you’re not alone. It is always a scary feeling of uncertainty when you aren’t sure where the future will lead you. On the bright side, if you’re furthering your education you’re on the right track.
