Although Sex and the City has been done for 5 years now, it will always be relevant and close to every girl's heart. Carrie Bradshaw, who was somewhat of a mess, had and always will have the some of the best advice any girl could ask for.

1. "Being single used to mean that nobody wanted you. Now it means you're pretty sexy and you're taking your time deciding how you want your life to be and who you want to spend it with.".

Every single girl knows the feeling of scrolling through Instagram and feeling like everyone you know and see has a boyfriend. You ask yourself "what do they have that I don't", while in reality you should be praising yourself for not settling for some asshole. It's easy to look good in pictures but who knows, maybe those girls are jealous of you. Be confident, be proud, be SINGLE! It doesn't mean that no one wants you, it means that you haven't found the one you want.

2. “I revealed too much too soon. I was emotionally slutty.".

So you're hooking up with a guy for about a month and you accidentally let it slip that you are starting to like him. You immediately get scared that he is going to be freaked out and not want anything to do with you anymore. RELAX. We all worry that we are going to do something to ruin our own lives. If he doesn't like it, well than it's his loss.

3. "They say nothing lasts forever: dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.".

Almost nothing in your life will be consistent forever. You may change your hair, you may change your clothes. Hey, you may even change your religion, but one thing you shouldn't change is your friends. Things happen, girls will be girls, but keep the ones who mean the most, and keep them close to you. Make sure you don't let them go. Your friends are the ones who will set you straight, keep you in line, listen to you when you are being ridiculous, and then remind you that everything will be okay.

4. "The most exciting, challenging, and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And, if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.".

Love is something we all look for. However, we forget that the first step is loving ourselves. Put yourself first and let the rest come second, this doesn't mean that you have to be selfish, it just means that you have to figure you out, before you can find someone else to try and figure out.

5. “Life gives you lots of chances to screw up, which means you have just as many chances to get it right.".

All girls love to beat themselves up. Whenever something goes wrong, we love to blame ourselves first. Stop doing that. Not everyone's perfect. The best thing to do when you screw up is to look for a way to learn from it, and do it not only right, but do it better, next time. Appreciate your mistakes and thrive in your successes.
