While away from the close-knit family that is Freed-Hardeman, and with the excitement that is Christmas break, it is easy to forget that reason for Christmas (though it is clearly in the name). Here are five Bible verses that you should read, not just on Christmas, but year-round.
Luke 2:10
And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."
Matthew 1:21
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;...and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:14
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased."
Merry Christmas!
