There will always be that person or persons that remains in your life despite of age. They've been a part of your life for as long as you can remember, and will continue to be. They've been there through the best and the worst, the good and the ugly. I'm talking about best friends. These are the type of people that you can depend on at any time of your life. You love your best friend and they mean the world to you. There are things that we all love about our best friends, and here are five of them.
1. Laughs
Your best friend is the only one who really knows your sense of humor. They know how to tickle your funny bone or how to get you laughing to the point of tears. Even if you're feeling down, they know how to get you laughing and feeling better. After all, they've practically been in your life for as long as you can remember. From inside jokes to comical memories, there will always be something to get you guys laughing.
2. Dependability
No matter what either of you are doing, your best friend will always be there for you -- always. Even if your best friend is thousand of miles on the other side of the sea, they will be there as soon as possible when you need them. They're ready to catch you when you fall and will support you when you don't feel confident in yourself.
3. Activity Buddy
With your best friend, you guys will do everything together -- everything. From class assignments to social activities, you both will be there side by side ready to take on the world. People don't go through one, but two of you. It's basically a buy-one, get-one-free type of deal.
4. Bond
There is no stronger bond than the one between you and your best friend. You guys will go through everything together, and that requires a bond strong enough to sustain the weight of life. If one goes through the storm, the other will volunteer to go through as well. You guys will watch each other's backs as both of you go through the journey of life.
5. Future
Knowing that our best friends will be here in the future gives us comfort. It lets us know that we will not be alone as we step into the real world. And when life is there to knock us down, our best friends will be there to back us up. Remember, it's you and your best friend versus the world.
We love our best friends. They know us better than we know ourselves. They can finish our sentences or thoughts before we can, and they appear to be our better halves. They know our secrets, personalities, music choice, favorite genres, etc. They know everything about us. There is no other person that you would want to venture into life with than your best friend because you know that they will always be right there whether you need them or not.
