Frank Ocean
Channel Orange was released in 2012. The album received rave reviews from both critics and the public; it also won Ocean his first Grammy. However the infamously private star has kept silent about a follow-up. The album is rumored to be called Boys Don't Cry and is scheduled to drop this month. Luckily, in November 2014, Ocean gave us a peak of his upcoming album with a short track entitled "Memrise" to keep us occupied in the mean time.
Kanye West
West's past three albums are proof that he does not do the same thing twice. It will be interesting to see where he goes with his next album. He recently tweeted that his next album has changed from So Help Me God to SWISH, although this is still tentative. So far, he has dropped two singles from this album: "Only One" and "All day." At the Glastonbury Festival this summer, West told the crowd "You are now watching the greatest living rock star on the planet." Hopefully that declaration was West's style of foreshadowing a game changing album.
Adele
It's been roughly four years since Adele released 21, an album that made Adele and her powerful voice a household name. In 2015, she tweeted "Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year," which led many to believe new Music would be released before the end of the year. Sadly this wasn't the case; It looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for the long-awaited, non-titled and non-scheduled album
Justin Bieber
No matter what you think about Bieber, he is indisputably an global star. When he isn't busy peeing in janitor buckets, or abandoning his pet monkey in Germany, he is actually creating decent music. Bieber hasn't released anything since Journals in 2013. He supposedly told fans he was thinking about releasing his next album around his birthday in March 2015. Despite that, nothing has been released thus far. Hopefully, Bieber has been getting his life back on track and is focusing on his music. In the mean time, we have his surprisingly catchy collab with Skrillex and Diplo titled "Where Are U Now" to dance to this summer.
Rihanna
For four years, Rihanna has dropped an album every November (2009-2012). However, in 2013 and 2014, she didn't release anything. Although it is currently untitled, Rihanna announced she hopes her new album gives off a more soulful vibe compared to her past releases. In March, Rihanna released "Bitch Better Have My Money", a single from her upcoming album. The extremely graphic and controversial music video is proof that Rihanna still knows how to create a buzz.
