Want to visit Pennsylvania someday? I suggest checking out places in the lower region of the state. From Hershey to Gettysburg, there are all sorts of places to see and things to learn. Here's a list of a few pretty awesome attractions.

1. Hershey Park

Probably the most popular attraction in the state, Hershey Park is ten kinds of awesome. There are rides for all ages, a huge waterpark, and tons of games to play. Worth every penny!

2. Hershey's Chocolate World

Adjacent to Hershey Park, Chocolate World is pretty cool, too. There are tons of souvenirs to choose from, a free chocolate tour ride, and even restaurants that specialize in Hershey's chocolate products.

3. The Hershey Museum

Called "The Hershey Story," this museum teaches you the history and legacy of Milton Hershey and the chocolate confections he had created.

A former prison later turned into a tourist attraction. Willie Sutton and Al Capone were held behind bars here. It is said to be haunted, and there's even an annual Halloween event called "Terror Behind The Walls."

Here's where you want to go if you want to learn about The Battle of Gettysburg. The park covers most of the battlefield, support areas (supply, hospital, etc.), and non-battle areas related to the aftermath.

An underrated amusement park, Lakemont is home to the world's oldest rollercoaster, having been built in 1902. It is also one of the thirteen trolley parks still operating. The attraction has been closed for a few years, but they plan on opening again in the summer of 2019.

10. Indian Echo Caverns

Take a tour through these limestone caves. It is said that Native Americans used the caverns for storage and shelter. For almost a decade, the caves were home to William Wilson, best known as The Pennsylvania Hermit.
