There's no friendship quite like the friendship between you and your college BFF. She not only sees you at your best and worst, but is right by your side every step of the way. To my biggest cheerleader, PIC, and other half THANK YOU. I f***ing love you.

  1. Thank you for helping me feel right at home.
  2. Thank you for embracing my weirdness.
  3. And for being weird with me.
  4. Thank you for making celebrations out of the smallest successes.
  5. And for strangely enough, celebrating our failures the hardest.
  6. Thank you for making sure I look hot AF each night we go out.
  7. Which many times includes me stealing your clothes.
  8. Thank you for all the times I stole your tattoos and glitter too.
  9. Thank you for reminding me that no one remembers the quiet nights at home.
  10. Even when I probably should've stayed home.
  11. But thank you for telling me when I should actually get shit done.
  12. Thank you for eating lots of junk food with me.
  13. And then promising we'd go to the gym tomorrow.
  14. But thank you for also accepting that we probably won't make it to the gym tomorrow.
  15. Thank you for the many adventures (big and small).
  16. Thank you for sending me memes when I’m upset.
  17. Thank you for always making sure I get home safely.
  18. Seriously, that could be a HUGE duty sometimes.
  19. And thank you for those times you just let me crash in your bed.
  20. Thank you for letting me cry over that test I bombed.
  21. And for then listening to me complain about some boy for the 100th time.
  22. And afterwards promising everything will be ok.
  23. Thank you for encouraging me to do dumb things.
  24. And for recounting all of the embarrassing stories which come from them.
  25. And then promising I’ll laugh about it some day… 'cause I totally do now.
  26. Thank you for all the Snapchats.
  27. Thank you for always going with me to the bathroom.
  28. Thank you for making the best of everyday.
  29. Thank you for telling me the guy isn't worth it.
  30. But for still giving some guys your stamp of approval.
  31. Thank you for always putting things in perspective.
  32. But at the same time, thank you for being over dramatic with me when necessary.
  33. Thank you for paying when my card declined #collegelife.
  34. Thank you for always asking how I am.
  35. And for genuinely caring.
  36. Thank you for always being down to try new restaurants with me.
  37. Thank you for being my “if lost call…” friend.
  38. Thank you for binge watching Netflix with me.
  39. Thank you for assuring me my top eyeliner is even.
  40. Thank you for helping me write risky text messages.
  41. And for clicking send when I second guess myself.
  42. Thank you for the random dance parties.
  43. Thank you for encouraging me to study for just a little longer.
  44. Thank you for telling me when I need to wash my hair.
  45. Thank you for all the times you made me laugh 'till I was in tears.
  46. Thank you for all the hugs and cuddles.
  47. Most of all thank you for the greatest memories… to many more!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
