When I was growing up, The Lion King had to be one of my favorite Disney movies. I can't tell you how many times I saw that movie, recited those lines, and cried when Mufasa died. I haven't seen it in years and after watching a random commercial on TV for the Blue-Ray DVD, I decided to relive some great childhood memories. However, now that I'm older, I have quite a few new thoughts and questions.

1. What kind of fruit is Rafiki rubbing on Simba's forehead?

2. Why am I suddenly craving a fruit I've never had?

3. Why didn't I notice that Simba as a cub is actually really cocky?

4. Why is he annoying me now?

5. Wow, Zazu is just as annoying as I remember.

6. Wait... aren't Simba and Nala actually related?

7. Why do I still think Mufasa will save Simba and get out alive?

8. Yup, still sobbing.

9. DON'T RUN AWAY SIMBA!

10. YES, NATHAN LANE.

11. Ugh, I love Timon and Pumba.

12. Why do a wart hog and meerkat make good friends?

13. WAIT... I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND TIMON AND PUMBA'S JOKES!

14. WAIT... THEY ARE SO FUNNY!

15. I feel as a parent I would actually be laughing so hard at this.

16. *screams Hakuna Matata at the top of my lungs*

17. *sings the whole song by heart, word for word*

18. *gags at the sound of them eating bugs*

19. Enjoys the time sequence of them walking across the log way too much

20. How did Simba grow up on bugs? He's a lion.

21. HA, wait Zazu sings it's a small world after all, way to go Disney

22. Wait.. grown up Simba is voiced by Matthew Broderick?

23. Well that ruins the childhood wonder a little.

24. *screams/sings can you feel the love tonight*

25. That's definitely not Broderick singing...

26. UGH this is so cute.

27. Wow I'm single.

28. SIMBA GO BACK WITH HER!

29. YAAAS RAFIKI SAVING THE DAY WITH YOUR MAD WISDOM.

30. Why is Rafiki the only animal with any sort of authentic accent?

31. Why the baboon?

32. James Earl Jones speaking from the sky like a god.

33. HAHA wait Rafiki hitting Simba with his stick is actually so funny.

34. "Hey! What was that?!" "Doesn't matter, it's in the past."

35. Wait.. if Simba was that far from home, why was Nala?

36. YAAAS TIMON AND PUMBA SUPPORTING SIMBA!

37. Hahah wait Timon is talking about dressing in drag.

38. Haha wait they all think Simba looks like Mufasa but then he speaks and his voice... nowhere near as intimidating.

39. Wow, how convenient, A strike of lighting and fire starts.

40. PS TO VILLAINS: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CONFESSING TO THE CRIME THINKING YOU'RE GOING TO KILL THE PROTAGONIST.

41. Haha karma's a bitch.

42. Wow, convenient rain to drown out the fires.

43. YAAAS THE RIGHTFUL KING!

44. Wait why doesn't Simba and Nala's cub have the weird fruit smear?

45. Those songs will be stuck in my head for at least a week.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
