One of the most unsung aspects of film is that of the movie poster. There's just something magical about going to a movie theater and examining the rows of posters for movies yet to be released. In a way, it's like an art show, and it's the most impressive pieces of art that stick with you even after you've left the cinema. Although not traditional, movie posters are indeed works of art. Sure, many times, a movie only needs its name, actors, director, or a connection to a franchise to attract the attention of consuming audiences; yet, movies with great posters always manage to stand out and leave a lasting impression. Within the past few weeks, the posters for films "Kong: Skull Island" and "Alien: Covenant" were released, and although the names alone are enough to get hyped for these movies, the posters for each are so striking and cool that they serve to heighten audience excitement. So, in honor of these awesome works of cinematic art, here are 45 of the coolest and most iconic movie posters of all time:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
