We've all had that one professor who is the literal definition of boring. The monotone lectures combined with the late nights you've spent studying for your midterms are feeling as though they will be the end of you. Walking into class on Monday and getting prepared to go through the torture probably goes a little like this:
1. Do I have to be here?
2. I still have time to leave—it's 9:26.
3. I can't leave, I skipped last week.
4. Why'd I skip last week when I could've skipped this week?
5. Oh my god, the professor is here. Now. I have to stay.
6. I should've gotten coffee.
7. Who doesn't get coffee?
8. Maybe I should go get some coffee and come back?
9. But what if he asks where I am going?
10. He wouldn't ask. This is college. I'm grown. I can do what I want.
11. I'll just wait until he stops talking for a second.
12. Oh my god, he's never going to stop talking.
13. How have only 10 minutes passed?!
14. I've been in here for a century.
15. Okay, there are only 50 minutes left.
16. That's two sets of 25 minutes.
17. Five sets of 10 minutes.
18. I just have to make it through 10 minutes five times.
19. Oh look! Only 49 more minutes to go.
20. I can't do it.
21. Why are my eyes closing?
22. Wake up! Wake up!
23. Is it nap time yet?
24. Why is everyone else so good at faking interest?
25. Maybe they are actually interested...
26. Why can't I be more like them?
27. Maybe I can go to the bathroom and scroll through Facebook for a bit.
28. Oh no, he's looking at me.
29. Please don't call on me.
30. I've literally not been paying attention.
31. What even is this class?
32. Yes, didn't call on me. Sweet.
33. I think I'm going to die.
34. This is the end.
35. I'm going to wither away from boredom in this very seat.
36. RIP.
37. Oh my god, only five more minutes.
38. If you really care about us, Mr. College Professor, you'll let us go early.
39. Oh, of course not.
40. Why would you ever show mercy?
41. It is 10:15, class is over! Please let us leave!
42. Freedom at last!
43. That wasn't that bad.
44. I'm such a good student.
