  4. 9am isn't thaaaat early…
  5. I totally can handle all my classes
  6. When are my professors going to post the Syllabi????
  7. Do I need a textbook for that class or is she going to use the same one as she did for part one???
  8. I have like no work this semester
  9. I should get more involved on campus
  10. I can totally make it through the semester without wearing leggings to class
  11. Honestly, what am I going to do with all this time that I have?
  12. This professor hates me already….
  13. I will not wait until the weekend to watch the lectures for my online class
  14. I totally have time to cook for myself every day
  15. It's only been two days, it's still fine that I haven't unpacked yet
  16. How many books do I need???
  17. You want me to buy a $120 EBOOK? No.
  18. No one is going to be in the library yet, it's syllabus week
  19. Should I go to lecture or watch it online?
  20. Okay, will someone assign me some work please? Like come on its Wednesday.
  21. Wait… you want me to spend two and a half hours outside…. do you not know it's twenty degrees out?
  22. Oh, we're going to an island? Great.
  23. Why do you hate me?

  25. Did I ever watch those lectures?
  26. I need to go buy supplies for that site visit….
  27. Ughhhhh, why am I not wearing leggings to class?
  28. SO. MANY. CLASSES.
  29. I've been back a week I should really unpack at some point.

  34. Wait, why are there so many people in the library??

  36. I'm exhausted.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
