You did it, another semester is in the books. A few weeks ago, you weren’t sure how you were going to get through the never-ending finals but you have and now, it’s time to relax. Although you’ve been waiting for this moment for a while, you might still find yourself stuck on what to do exactly. Here are four ways to feel instantly relaxed:
1. Make A Netflix Must-Watch List And Binge Away
If you’re anything like me, you probably felt guilty watching episode after episode of your favorite show when you really should have been doing work. But now that the semester is over, you can go through Netflix and binge away guilt-free. You can feel free to make a list of all the movies and shows that look interesting. Then, whenever you want, you can go through the list and pick an item to leisurely watch.
2. Catch Up With Your Friends
An inevitable thing that always happens when school is in session is losing touch with your friends. You might have made the attempt to plan a hangout but not actually follow through. Fortunately, winter break means more time to see your friends and catch up. Despite the chilly weather, there are many great places to go together to see sights, eat and explore.
3. Rediscover Your Hobbies Or Find A New One
During the semester, school work becomes a main priority. Regardless of your major, there is always a lot of work to be done and this leaves little to no room for hobbies. You may enjoy a particular sport, maybe a creative outlet like drawing or even cooking. Whatever it may be, your winter break is a good opportunity to delve back into your long lost hobbies or perhaps, discover a new one to help you continue relaxing.
4. Plan Ahead
This may sound counterproductive to the goal of relaxing but planning ahead can actually take stress off of you in the future. If you’re not sure what you want to do after college, your winter break is a good chance to research different career paths. You may also do another kind of planning, more specifically for the New Year. A year can hold many possibilities and planning ahead can be useful. You can make goals for the new year that pertain to many aspects of your life.
