Let's be honest you learn a lot the first week of school and it's not what you learn in the class room, it's street smarts. Here's what I learned from the first week of my freshman year at Utah Valley University.
1. Make maps your beesh.
I studied mine before I left my apartment and so I knew exactly where to park, walk, and what building to go into. It's worth it.
2. You don't have to buy your books at the campus bookstore.
Really though. When I found out what books I needed I searched them in Amazon and Chegg. If you don't know what those sites are get familiar! You'll save big.
3. Parallel parking is a breeze.
Parallel parking usually is some huge deal and everyone hates it, but really it's easy and necessary. Just do it.
4. Be outgoing.
Go out of your way and talk to them because you know you want to (even the hot ones)! Oh and obviously take a picture with the mascot cause it's a thing.
That's the top four things I learned at UVU and probably every other freshman out there is finally understanding. Seriously, these helped me so they are gonna help you!
By the way, you totally got this!
