I could go on for days with this list. But I will keep it at a minimum.
1. It Costs to do Laundry...
Is it wrong of me to think laundry should be included in tuition? IT'S EXPENSIVE ENOUGH! I will never forget that day. I went down into my dorm's basement to wash my clothes. I just knew they would be smelling powder fresh that day. So, I get there and I see $1.25 on the washing machines. "I have to pay?!" I said out loud to myself. How dare they make us spend ALL this money on meal plans, books, classes, and DORM ROOMS? Then turn around and demand MORE cash for laundry. It should be illegal.
2. Dining Hall Food Gets Tiring
I remember orientation like it was yesterday; I was in food heaven. I could not wait to officially become a student. I really ate my ass off for like two months straight. Between the dining halls and food court, I was out of control. Then... my brain and belly said "enough is enough." Wing and burger joints outside of campus became my bestfriend.
3. The Campus Bookstore is a Rip-OffÂ
Besides the scantrons and maybe some of the clothing items, my campus's bookstore is COMPLETELY overpriced. textbooks and other classroom necessities are way too expensive. The bookstore price of a book will be $300, but on amazon or any other school book site it would be no more than $50. Make it make sense!
4. No One Pays Attention To You
Maybe that sounds harsh but let me explain. Some people will notice you, but the majority will not. No one is really going to pay attention to your outfit, shoes, or hair. Unless it really catches their eye in that moment. You could probably wear the same thing almost everyday, and no one will notice. If they do, they probably won't say anything. Being apart of a huge university is like being in a huge, busy city. Everyone is in their own world, focusing on their tasks to complete.
