4 Tell-Tale Signs He’s Not Prince Charming

We’ve all had that guy who we believe is your perfect soul mate.  This same guy is the guy that ends up breaking your heart.

After the breakup, your mind obsesses over the questions: what did I do, did I gain weight, did he find another girl, am I too clingy, or is it my personality? These thoughts will haunt you for days and our modern society’s portrayal of beauty does not help your self-esteem.

These same guys have hurt me in a lot of my relationships. I hope you realize he’s not the one before it's too late and you’re sobbing over your breakup with wine and chocolates. Because let’s face it, breakups are worse than any final exam.

1. He does not want the title.  This is the immediate sign that he's just not that into you.   He not only fears commitment, but also he probably just wants a hookup buddy.  If a guy doesn’t respect you enough to say your dating, than you are so much better than that. Don’t lower yourself for someone who doesn’t deserve you.

2. He is afraid of introducing to you to his friends or family.  This is another immediate sign that he does not value you enough in his life.   A boy that truly cares about you would want to show you off to his friends and proudly introduce you to his family.  If he does not think you're good enough for his friends and family, then he probably does not want future plans with you.  I immediately realized that my boyfriend was going to break up with me when he made excuses to not meet my family.

3. You lack self confidence around him. There are those guys that are gorgeous and when you are with them, you constantly worry that you're not pretty or good enough for him. You might be afraid he will cheat on you with a “prettier” girl.  In a healthy relationship, you should feel comfortable and good about yourself no matter what.  A guy that is really into you will make you feel beautiful and boost your self-esteem.  You should even feel beautiful without makeup and wearing sweats.  A good guy will appreciate you as yourself, not a superficial version of you. You should NEVER have to change yourself for a boy.

4. He wants a break or to take things slow. This means he is either scared of commitment, or he has lost interest in you.  Guys use this as the easy way of breaking up with their girlfriend.  They do not want the fighting and conflict of breaking up.  They may also want to explore their options and look for other fish in the sea.  For some reason, the words “breaking up” makes things so much harder.  When a guy says lets take a break, you think of it as temporary and have high hopes of getting back together.  Sadly, this is a sign that he doesn’t have plans of the relationship going further or he is questioning if he is happy.  Even if he is questioning the relationship, you should not fall for him. Trust me, if you wait for getting back together after a break, it will hurt so much worse in the end.  You will feel better if you notice the signs and end things before you get hurt from rejection. The right guy  should feel 100 percent positive about the relationship and know he wants you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
