Born in the summer, I’ve never taken the time to fully appreciate the season of fall. I always just thought of it as the season in between summer and winter without much significance. In fact, I never really even knew when it truly began or ended. It’s because the fall months go by so much quicker than everything else, there’s no awkward extra couple of weeks in the season where people already assume it’s the next season. Fall is so completely and perfectly its own season.
1.Colors changing, leaves falling
Everything looks beautiful in fall. Instead of your average green color, the leaves turn yellow, orange, red, and purple, a wonderful mixture spread throughout the streets. Then the leaves fall to the ground with their newfound colors and crunch under your feet. It’s my favorite part of the season where every leaf you step on makes that satisfying crunching sound. If the colors of fall and this little hedgehog don’t make you happy, I don’t know what will.
2. Sweater Weather
It’s that time of the year where sweaters are now acceptable and that’s great because who doesn’t love sweaters? There are so many different kinds and they look cute no matter how you wear them. Plus it’s also time for cute ankle boots to pair with all those sweaters. It’s not too cold to wear you would freeze if you decide not to wear a jacket and it’s not too warm to wear sweaters. In Colorado it's even acceptable pair a sweater or a hoodie with some athletic shorts sue to the varying temperatures. Overall, fall is just the best season style wise because there is just so much diversity with only a few accessories. Even little animals appreciate the sweaters...

1. Pumpkins
No I’m not talking about pumpkin spice for I have yet to succumb to that craze ever since it began, nor will I ever. I’m talking about all other things pumpkin, like pumpkin pie, pumpkin patches, and pumpkin carving. It’s always hilarious to see my complex pumpkin carving idea fail and cave in on itself. Either way, it’s a fun bonding activity for anyone and everyone.
2. CostumesIt’s time to dress up as your favorite character and wow all of your friends with your professional face painting skills. Or pick something simple like a fruit- my costume for this year was very last minute, I am a strawberry. Really, you can be just about anything for Halloween, so go out there and have some fun.

1. Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year where time is spent with the family and you get an entire week off from school- a much deserved break after suffering through an entire month with hardly any days off.
More importantly though is…
2. Food
Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato, and any other of your favorite holiday dishes, this time of the year has them all. It’s the reason why I need to continue running in fear of gaining 10 pounds. So much food, and there is always leftover turkey to make yummy sandwiches for days.
3. Black Friday
Although it rudely interrupts Thanksgiving every year, who doesn’t love to get the best deals? If I can buy jeans for $10, I’m in. Plus, it’s yet another bonding activity in the most stressful form. You get to buy things you never even thought you needed because everything is so cheap.
Enjoy the season while it lasts because before you know it, winter will be upon us (although I’m sure I could think of four reasons to love winter too).
