I have spent my time this summer doing a few things: studying, reading, touring D.C, and watching Netflix. I have finished Bob’s Burgers, incredible, I know, and I have begun my latest Netflix series: Criminal Minds. I watched this show as a pre-teen and loved it. I could never watch it with my family because for some insane reason they don’t like crime shows. So now, as a college student I have been making my through the series one 40-minute episode at a time. I am not through the entire series by any means but here, so far, are reasons why Criminal Minds is the greatest show ever.

1. The compelling plots

Every plot is fun and creepy. There are episodes that pull at your heartstrings and episodes that keep you up at night, but no matter what the show just draws you in and never lets you go. If I didn’t watch myself I could accidentally spend an entire day watching this great show.

2. The quotes opening and closing each episode

A good poem starts and ends in the same place, so does criminal minds. Every episode you get a quote that ties up what you just watched in a neat little bow. This little bow is just one of the many ways the creators tell you: “Hey! This is creepy stuff, we know, but look at this true to life quote that makes this show that much more relevant!” Thanks creators, we love it.

3. The eye candy

It is undeniable the cast has some MAJOR hunks. Dr. Spencer Reed and Derek Morgan are by far two of the most attractive actors. There is nothing more fun than listening to Reed talk about statistics and rocking the adorkable nerd routine, while Derek just glows in this “I know I’m attractive and good at my job” sophistication.

4. The kind-hearted characters

Jennifer Jareau (JJ) is by far the sweetest most kindhearted character, she makes the show human and I don’t know how the team would function without her.

Criminal Minds is a truly riveting show with lively twists and turns that keep audiences guessing. If you love crime shows, Criminal Minds is the show for you.
