4 Holiday Gift Ideas that Give Back

As the holiday season approaches, it is easy to spend money on material gifts. Yes, there are all things that we want but do we need them? Here are 4 ideas for ways to enjoy the holiday season without spending money on material gifts.

1. Donate to charities

Donating to charities should be something we do all year long, but instead of spending money on gifts we should donate our time or money to a charity in need.


2. Go to a concert

Although this can be a gift, it will last a lifetime. It can bring friends and relatives together even after the holiday season is over.


3. Go to a sporting event

Like a concert, this is a fun and enjoyable way to spend time with your close friends and family. There are always tickets available for some type of sporting event. (Go Blackhawks!)


4. Take a vacation

Save the money you would spend on material gifts and reward yourself, or your close friends and family with a vacation. It will be a gift you won't ever forget.


The holiday season can be stressful and exciting. It is important to remember that the holiday season should be about getting together with loved ones and being thankful for everyone and everything in your life. Happy Holidays!
