Binge watching television shows is something most people do these days. Once you get hooked on a show, it takes a whole lot of will power to stop yourself from playing the next episode. Since I am 18 years old, I watch what most kids my age would watch like "Gossip Girl", "Parks and Recreation," "New Girl," and "Grey’s Anatomy." I also watch a few shows that not a lot of kids my age would watch like "Seinfeld," "Cheers," "Frasier," and "The X-Files."
1. Seinfeld
This is a show about nothing, that is very well put together. Four friends live in NYC and get themselves in strange yet extremely relatable situations. Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer are a group of the funniest friends that I have ever seen on a show. We follow the show through their daily routines which are always so eventful. Even though not a lot of kids my age watch this, it is still relatable to any generation.
2. Cheers
"Cheers," where everybody knows your name. This sitcom is about a group of friends who work at the bar or just come in a sit at the bar all day. The main character, Sam Malone, is a retired baseball player who owns the bar in Boston himself. Personally, the writing on this show has to be some of the best I have ever heard. It is what I like to call comedic genius. Each character brings their own unique personality which is so different from one another, which makes it great to watch.
3. Frasier
Immediately following once "Cheers" ended, there was a spin off for the character Dr. Frasier Crane. It is about Frasier moving from Boston to Seattle, where he starts a radio show where listeners call in for on-the-air psychiatric treatment. This s another hilarious sitcom where the views can relate to their everyday lives.4. The X-Files
This one is different from the other three T.V. shows. It is about two F.B.I agents who work together to uncover X-File cases. Fox Mulder is a true believer in the unknown. He has past experiences which give him the assurance and motivation to continue fighting for what he believes to be true of extraterrestrial and supernatural life forms. The F.B.I moves agent Dana Scully to watch over Agent Mulder to attempt to debunk him from his works. Agent Scully is extremely opposite of Mulder when it comes to x-file cases, and is skeptic to believe anything she sees if it cannot be backed up by science. These two take on strange and interesting cases which leave you mind blown and curious.
Even though these shows aired before my generation was born or when we were toddlers, it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy good T.V. shows. I highly recommend these four shows to anyone who enjoys great comedy and or Sci-fi mysteries.
