4 Easy Steps To Avoiding Spoilers

Spoilers. They aren't just a part that can potentially make your car look douchier; they are the phrases that reveal that which we do not already know. They are Satan's punishment for not watching a show when it airs.

I know how much you all hate spoilers, so I made this nifty 4 step list to help you avoid them. If you follow these steps, you're *insert fake statistical percentage here* less likely to have your day ruined by spoilers.

1. Unfollow all social media accounts that pertain to the show.

One of the easiest ways to avoid seeing spoilers is to unfollow any accounts that post gifs, memes, or afterthoughts once the show has aired. This will siphon out most of the potential spoilers and give you some peace of mind. Never click on "what's trending" because you'll definitely find spoilers there! You can always re-follow and check out the trends later.

2. Stay off of social media for at least 24 hours.

Even after you've unfollowed all of the social media accounts, some of your friends are going to be talking about the show right after it airs. If you haven't already removed TV-show spoiling friends from your friend group, it's too late. You shouldn't be punished by your inability to choose the right friends. Don't open their direct messages, texts, or read their tweets - they're all infested with spoilers.

3. If you see something, KEEP SCROLLING.

Sometimes, steps one and two aren't enough. Somehow, something always manages to find its way to your newsfeed that pertains to last night's episode. Your curiosity is your worst enemy, so if you see anything that remotely looks like it could be related to the show, either keep scrolling or throw your laptop across the room. You must avoid spoilers at all costs.

4. Become a recluse.

Ah, the bliss that comes with having no social contact with anyone. Are you dead? Just sleeping? Who knows. At least your show isn't getting spoiled.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
