38 Thoughts We All Have While Taking An Exam

Exams: We dislike them. They're not fun, they take up our time, and they don't honestly test our knowledge, mostly our memorization skills. We all get extremely stressed before, during, and after taking our exams. Here are 38 thoughts we all share while taking an exam:

1. I'm so ready for this. I studied as much as I could. I've got this! I'm definitely more prepared than last time. Or do I have this? *Anxiety*

2. I should have studied more. Maybe I should have started studying a week earlier rather than two days beforehand.

3. What time is it? How long do I have until I have to be done by? What if I don't finish in time?

4. Maybe I can get a C.

5. What percentage are the exams worth in this class?

6. Oh, it's worth 50 percent of my overall grade. Oh, this is not good.

7. What if I run out of pencil lead?

8. What if my pens run out of ink?

9. I don't know the answer at all. Should I go with C? C's a good bet, right?

10. Wait. Maybe it's E. What's up with "all of the above"? There's also "none of the above." What do I do?!

11. How many more exams do we have left before the final? I'll just study more for the next one. It's fine.

12. I am blanking on this question.

13. I don't know this one at all. How many did I not know? As long as it's less than 10, I should be OK.

14. I have spent 10 minutes on one question.

15. There are multiple answers to this.

16. How do I choose between these two possible answers?

17. Focus, focus, focus.

18. Just think of celebrating after this.

19. I can't think.

20. My brain is fried.

21. I'm going to cry.

22. I forgot about this chapter!

23. I'll just keep writing, something is bound to be somewhat right.

24. Am I one of the last people?

25. My hands are sweating.

26. I'm sweating.

27. Everywhere.

28. This is terrible, I'm dying.

29. Did we even learn this?!

30. This looks nothing like the study guide.

31. I swear my professor is doing this out of pure entertainment to see all of our panicked reactions.

32. Time's up? They can't stop me from filling out this answer.

33. I hate this class.

34. I really hate this class.

35. That was bad.

36. Actually, no, that wasn't bad. I bet I did pretty well.

37. Knock on wood.

38. OK, that was awful and I will admit it.

No one leaves an exam feeling on top of the world -- well, at least not us. Maybe we will do better next time, or go through all 38 of these again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
