Being the keeper of little children for the whole summer can be an interesting job. As a camp counselor, you are constantly breaking up arguments, opening juice boxes, and taking groups of kids to the bathroom. In the summertime, it's like the kids are let off the leash and are running free from everything related to school. This comes with crazy attitudes and tons of energy (something you wish you had more of). Here are 35 phrases that every camp counselor has said at least once during their career.
1. "No, we don't share snacks."
2. "Why? Because I said so. It's the rules."
This is the ultimate comeback for everything when you're dealing with kids.
3. "We do not eat the sand out of the sandbox."
4. "Does everyone have sunscreen on?"
5. "Suzie, you need to tell Mom or Dad to buy you some more sunscreen."
6. "I'll tie your shoes this time, but please learn how to do it yourself."
7. "Please go tell her that you're sorry."
8. "Everyone find a buddy."
9. "How did your shoes get untied already? I JUST tied them ten minutes ago."

13. "Don't eat that. It was on the dirty ground."
14. "Don't run on the pool deck!"

...because I said so.
16. "It's TYE-DYE WEEK!!!"
17. "Walk, please."
Okay, maybe not like that...
18. "You need to fill up your water bottle."
19. "It's way too hot outside for you to not be drinking water."
20. "Why aren't we having ice pops for snack today?!?"

26. "Did everyone put on sunscreen before they came to camp today?"
27. "They don't pay me enough for this."
28. "Use kind words when you speak."
29. "Are these your goggles?"
30. "No, I don't know where your other shoe is."
31. "Thank God it's pizza day."
32. "How many more days until Friday?"
33. "Please keep your hands to yourself."
