Once you go away to college, there's a split between your love for your hometown, and your new college life. I don't quite know how I really feel about my first summer back at home coming from college, but I do know that I have some great friends that I will always miss in either place. From making new friends, to living in the dorms, to trying to stay somewhat motivated during your vacation, here are 33 thoughts from the end of finals to the beginning of the Fall semester.
1) FINALS ARE OVER!!! Survived another year.
2) I can't wait to get back home and see all my friends.
3) I am going to have so much time to relax. Sort of.
4) I need to watch this movie. And this one.
5) I'll be up all night anyway, I'm used to staying up late.
6) *wakes up in the morning* Wait, why am I up, it's the summer I can sleep in *sleeps for 10 hours*.
7) Is this what having enough sleep feels like?
8) This is amazing. I should do this more often.
9) There's a real kitchen! I can make food!
10) I will eat at every local restaurant because I missed all of them while I was at school.
11) Oh wait, no one mention school, still having nightmares from finals.
12) Eh, but I will take a summer class to get a head start, what credits do I need again?
13) Okay, after this week I will get some work done, I'll be so ahead.
14) I need this job/internship.
15) I hate waking up so late, the whole day is gone, I can't get anything done!
16) I have that party tonight, but that requires real people clothes.
17) I'll just stay in my pajamas and watch Netflix.
18) But maybe I'll go for a run tomorrow... nope, too hot, we'll try again later this week.
19) I'll sit and eat this ice cream instead.
20) Alright, I'm slightly bored. Let's go on a trip.
21) I miss my friends at school so much!
22) I miss living on my own. I want to go back to the dorms... did I really just say that?
23) I think I'm ready to go back to school.
24) Oh shoot the bill for the semester, okay, not going out tomorrow, or the next day, I'll just watch another movie.
25) Wait, I move back to school in two weeks??? I need to start packing stuff!
26) Oh, and I have to see all my friends one more time before we leave.
27) I need to go to the beach.
28) I'll pack a couple days before, it'll be fine.
29) Where did the summer go? I'm not ready for classes.
30) Ah, I'm so happy to be back at school, but I'm going to miss my hometown.
31) Friends! This is so much better.
32) First day of class, shouldn't be too bad.
33) Better start studying for finals.
