As a 90's baby, I grew up playing these games. Whether with friends or family, some of these games could get pretty heated. If you haven't played them yet, now's your chance!

1. Mousetrap

Try to trap your friends in this game!

2. Chutes and Ladders

Just when you think you’re getting ahead, you land on the longest slide in the game.

3. Candyland

Get your sweet tooth fix with this classic board game.

4. Monopoly

The game where you get to demand over $1,000 from your friends and they have to give it to you.

5. Yahtzee

This one is fun to play with your whole family.

6. Battleship

“You sunk my battleship!”

7. Hangman

Try to trick your friends with words like “bagpipe.”

8.Guess Who

The game where asking questions like “Do they have a huge nose?” is OK.

9. Cootie

Build little caterpillar looking things in this goofy game.

10. Pretty Pretty Princess

My sister and I used to get into fistfights over who got the crown.

11. Operation

Honestly, this game scared me so I didn’t play it a whole lot.

12. Mystery Date

Find the perfect date with this game. Too bad it wasn’t real.

13. Hungry Hungry Hippos

This game could be painful if a finger got stuck in between a trigger-happy opponent and a hippo’s mouth.

14. Don’t Break the Ice

This game is a great ice-breaker.

15. Twister

Get tangled up with your friends in awkward positions.

16. Mall Madness

In this game, your credit card can’t get maxed out. If only life was like that.

17. Slamwich

“That’s not a sandwich.” “Oh, I would totally eat a peanut butter and lettuce sandwich.” “Riiight…”

18. Space Cadet 3D

I could play this for hours.

19. Connect 4

It’s kind of like tic tac toe...right?

20. Minesweeper

I never fully understood this game.

21. Let’s Go Fishin’

This game is a reel fun time, it got me hooked.

22. Scene It

There are so many versions, where to start?

23. Bop It

I had such a hard time keeping up with this!

24. Clue

Who done it?

25. Hi Ho Cherry-O

When you accidentally spilled the cherries off of the board, it was the worst thing that could happen.

26. Sorry

“Sorry.” “No you’re not.”

27. Trouble

The best part was the poppable dice.

28. Life

Pick your favorite celebrity at the time to be your spouse.

29. Elefun

Never before have I been so excited to catch butterflies.

30. Perfection

This game could make your heart race like no other.

31. Crocodile Dentist

This game also could give you a heart attack.

32. Jenga

There was always that one person who got frustrated and knocked the whole tower down on purpose.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
