With the holiday season upon us, this might mean that air travel is in your near future, and the anticipation is both exciting and frazzling at the same time. Recently after traveling throughout Thanksgiving break, I realized that my brain never slows down when I’m in the airport. There are so many sights, sounds, and requirements that you seem to forget about your final destination and become consumed by the airport environment itself. Here are 30 thoughts you’ve probably had while traveling through an airport. And if you’re new to travel this holiday season, this list will give you a glimpse of what you can expect…

1. "I have my ID and boarding pass right?"



2. "WHERE DID I PUT IT?"

3. "Oh it was in my bag the whole time, I thought I dropped it."

4. "Check in was a breeze... This is going so smooth."

5. "Ugh I hate the security line."

6. "I wonder if I can get away with not taking off my shoes..."


7. "...And off my shoes go."


8. "I wonder if I can get away with not taking my laptop out of my backpack..."


9. "...And out goes my computer."


10. "Do I need to take off my watch?"

11. "Nah, we good."

12. "I'm glad that little alarm didn't go off because of my earrings."

13. "I always hate grabbing my stuff from the security belt."


14. "SIR, I CAN LITERALLY FEEL YOU BREATHING DOWN MY NECK - BACK OFF!"


15. "...And the shoes go back on, and we're ready to go!"

23. "MADE IT! And with 15 minutes to spare before boarding!"


24. "CRAP WHERE IS MY BOARDING PASS??"

25. "Got it, thank goodness, time to board!"

26. "Great, now the guy in front of me can't find HIS boarding pass."

27. "I hope they don't lose my bag..."


28. "Do I really need to hear about how this emergency exit works..."

29. "... Or how to use the oxygen masks."

30. "Oh good! I'll take the cookies please!"
