30 Thoughts You Have While Online Shopping
  1. So many clothes, it's heaven!
  2. But what do I want?
  3. Okay, the responsible question is: what do I need?
  4. EVERYTHING.
  5. No, I can’t afford it, but I know I need a white crop top. Let’s do that first.
  6. Well, there’s five.
  7. *Take five minutes to decide on one.*
  8. Okay I’ll just go click a small….out of stock? Are you serious? There’s no other way to indicate that before I fall in love with this beautiful piece of clothing?
  9. Whatever, I’ll just add myself to the waitlist. I guess this kind of works out because if I still want this when they email me, I know it’ll be a good investment.
  10. Oh, of course! They have a small in every other color except for the color that I want.
  11. Well, I guess I have good taste because everyone else wants it.
  12. Do I settle for the poop-green color?
  13. Dude, no. Do not settle for the poop green.
  14. But can I trust the website? Sometimes the colors look different in person. What if it’s really olive green but the website makes it look poop green?
  15. Go for it?
  16. I can’t.
  17. Wait, let me zoom in. Maybe it’s secretly see through, or maybe the color will look different closer up.
  18. Okay it looks the exact same and didn’t influence my decision at all.
  19. Oh my god, just click "add to cart." I’m sure it’s olive.
  20. My subtotal is $37.87. I capped myself at $40--way to stay within the budget!
  21. Ugh, but it’s free shipping on orders $50 and over. The shipping cost would probably put me over $40, so screw the budget, right?
  22. Well, I could get a cute cardigan. You can never have too many cardigans.
  23. Oh this is cute.
  24. Do I get a small or a medium?
  25. I mean, the model is wearing a small and it looks a little loose on her. But she’s also a twig, so…
  26. Medium? Medium.
  27. OUT OF STOCK?
  28. Oh wait, that’s the large just kidding.
  29. I can get this, but do I really want it? What if it arrives and it just doesn’t work? Should I get the small instead?
  30. Why is this so stressful?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
