It's common to find cereal available to eat at all times of the day in college dining halls. Last year, it just so happened that one of those cereals happened to be Corn Pops, which, as this title suggests, just happen to be the greatest thing to happen in the history of cereal. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of cereals, but here's a list of things you need to know when forming your opinion. Knowledge is power.
- If you’re reading this article, you only did it to see if a cereal could be so good that it could inspire someone to take the time actually write this list out. Well, here we are, so clearly it is.
- The taste. Let’s not overthink this one, guys.
- There is nine times more sugar than protein in a serving of Corn Pops. This is what dreams are made of.
- But, if you ate a whole box in one sitting, you would get 11 grams of protein. Protein is protein.
- Corn Pops come from popped corn, and corn is a vegetable, so Corn Pops are clearly healthy. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
- The color. Bright yellow is a very positive color, good vibes all around.
- On the box, the “POPS” in “corn pops” really stands out and grabs your attention. One might say it really *pops*. Sorry, I had to.
- You can eat it at any time of the day and it will still taste great.
- “Pops” would be a great name for a hamster.
- Or a fish.
- If you find a special code inside your box of Corn Pops, you could win free movie tickets.
- When you Google “corn pops best cereal,” you get over 1.3 million hits.
- You just Googled that because you didn’t believe me.
- They taste great with or without milk.
- Kellogg’s is a proud sponsor of the United States Olympic teams, which means eating Corn Pops is patriotic.
- Corn Pops have been around since 1951 and are still going strong.
- The name of one of their mascots was “Woody Woodpecker.”
- Seriously, look at that…the mascot alone makes this cereal the best.
- Other great mascot names: Sugar Pops Pete, Whippersnapper, Poppy, and Sweet Toothasaur.
- On top of the incredible mascots, the taglines are equally as impressive.
- For example: “It’s hard to stop when it pops.”
- This is the early 90s equivalent to saying “can’t stop, won’t stop,” and it’s used to describe a cereal. That’s incredible.
- Aaron Paul, yes that Aaron Paul, advertised for Corn Pops back in 1999.
- So, by extension, this obviously means that Corn Pops > Breaking Bad…right?
- The first review on Amazon reads: “Corn Pops? Why do I need to review a cereal?”
- The answer: he doesn’t because he gave it five stars without a second thought.
- Translation: Corn Pops are great and deserve five stars. What’s understood doesn’t need to be said.
- They’re so good that someone decided it was okay for me to write the most ridiculous article in the history of articles and put it on the internet.
- Watch this ad and see what happens when this guy locks himself out of his car and can’t get to his Corn Pops. Completely reasonable reaction.
- Corn Pops are not Raisin Bran.
