30 Reasons to Thank My Older Sibling

1. For driving me. Everywhere.

2. For swapping chores with me even though mine were clearly more tedious.

3. For always doing the stupid things which got you in deep trouble first.

4. For always supporting my fashion choices, despite how diverse they were.

5. For letting me tag along to run errands with you when I was little, even though you really were just going to get milk.

6. For keeping secrets from Mom and Dad for me.

7. For spilling all of my secrets when I ratted you out first.

8. For picking on me when puberty hit hard. You were right about the eyeliner and bronzer.

9. For letting me borrow your clothes. For finding out I stole your clothes and not killing me.

10. For acting like you liked my first boyfriend.

11. For hating on him the second we broke up.

12. For being right when you said I was only 16 and it would be okay.

13. For sticking up for me when I needed it.

14. For not sticking up for me when I deserved it.

15. For agreeing with me through the years when I was convinced you "just didn't get it". You probably got it.

16. For playing the games I made up when I was little.

17. For playing anything with me when I was little.

18. For getting in trouble and watching me suck up to Mom and Dad immediately after so I could be the favorite.

19. For speaking to me again after the years I thought I was too cool to associate with anyone.

20. For letting me blame you for things you probably didn't do.

21. For letting me blame you for things I know for a fact you didn't do.

22. For encouraging me, always.

23. For not letting me do anything really really stupid.

24. For letting me learn lessons from the stupid things I did do.

25. For letting me change the channel 80% of the time.

26. For being there in super hard times that I didn't want Mom or Dad to know about.

27. For telling Mom and Dad about those times eventually.

28. For letting me spy on you when we were younger. You really were just doing your hair.

29. For not being subtle, at all.

30. For being the strong, amazing person you are that has loved me unconditionally for as long as I've been alive.
