Middle school...the transitioning stage between elementary school and high school...and the time when the hottest songs were playing on the radio. Let’s be real — 2007, 2008 and 2009 were prime years when it came to music, but 2008 is my main focus because that is the year I started seventh grade. I barely listened to music / was up-to-date on what was considered “hot”, so I began listening to the radio to gain musical knowledge.
