Romance today isn't what it used to be. "Dating" has almost vanished from the college scene. Now our world is filled with one-night stands, late night booty calls and lots of "ballsy" attempts at hitting on someone. Romantically interested college students rarely go out to dinner together and they almost never buy each other nice gifts, but even more rare than these acts is seeing two humans in an official, monogamous relationship.
Not to say that this new way of life is anyone's fault because it isn't, it's just the way the cookie crumbled for the millennial generation.
Even though people aren't seeking out relationships anymore, everyone still seeks attention from the opposite sex and we all do dumb things to impress the people we want most. You may know that what you did was dumb when you did it; but to inform those who have no idea that their sorry attempts at flirting actually don't work, here's a list of dumb things guys do to impress girls...
1. Talk about how hammered they got last weekend
2. Talk about how many drugs they did last weekend
3. Talk about how many girls they hooked up with last weekend
4. Talk about how much they work out
5. Brag about how hard their major is
6. Cover the girl's meal with their dining card or parent's credit card
7. Talk about how their fraternity is "top house"
8. Make crass, stereotypical or racist jokes to show off their "sense of humor"
9. Talk about how funny they are
10. Talk about how many date parties they've been invited to
11. Invite the girl to the "rager" they are hosting this weekend
12. Follow the girl on every social media site
13. Talk about how much they can eat
14. Talk about their facial hair
15. Talk down on girls they've previously hooked up with
16. Talk about how successful their high school sports team was
17. Talk about how clean their room is
18. Talk about how they just washed their sheets
19. Brag about how they only hook up with hot girls
20. Brag about how they've never been to the library
21. Brag about how they never do homework
22. Brag about how "naturally smart" they are
23. Talk about how much money their parents have
24. Talk about their car
25. Talk about the "tricked out" parts of their car
26. Talk about how loud their car is
27. Talk about their car's tinted windows
28. Talk about how many girls they've hooked up with in their car
29. Talk about how much protein powder they consume
30. Brag about how much cooler they are then their friends
I'm sure most guys reading this are guilty of at least one of these things. And I'm not saying that these things don't work on some girls, so if it's working for you, then keeping doing you!
