College is a busy time, as it’s easy to get caught up with school work, activities, and friends. Though, it's critical to connect more with yourself and a great way to do that is through self-reflection. Start journaling when you wake up or before you go to bed, between classes, or at your favorite coffee shop on a lazy Sunday. Here is a month’s worth of journaling prompts for you to get started with!
Day 1: Write about what made you happy today?
Day 2: Describe the perfect day from start to finish.
Day 3: If you could hop on a plane right now where would you go? Would you bring anyone along or go solo?
Day 4: Write about your favorite childhood memory.
Day 5: What are your favorite colors at the moment? What do they make you feel and think of?
Day 6: Fill the page with things that make you smile.
Day 7: What are some things you need to do less of in your everyday life?
Day 8: What are some things that you need to do more in your everyday life?
Day 9: Are you happy with where you are in life right now? If not what are some things you could to get to where you want to be?
Day 10: Make the perfect road trip playlist and draw a map of all the places you’d stop at.
Day 11: Write about someone you miss.
Day 12: Write a poem about a place you fell in love with.
Day 13: Write about your favorite movie. Why do you love it so much?
Day 14: Make a list of all the things you want to accomplish within the next year.
Day 15: Write about your childhood bedroom and some memories you have from spending time in it.
Day 16: If you had the chance to change your name, would you and why?
Day 17: Write about how you have changed since freshman year of high school.
Day 18: Write a poem about your favorite season.
Day 19: What is currently stressing you out? Write about it and try and create a solution, afterwards you will probably realize it wasn’t even worth stressing over.
Day 20: Who inspires you?
Day 21: Describe a moment that changed you.
Day 22: What do you think your future looks like? Are you in control of your own future or do you think its out of control?
Day 23: Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? Why or why not?
Day 24: What is the nicest thing you have done for someone else?
Day 25: What are somethings that recently made you sad? Write about why it makes you feel the way it does and if you can control it.
Day 26: If you could live in any decade which one would you choose? What about that decade makes you love it so much?
Day 27: What is your favorite outfit in your closet right now? When you wear it how do you feel?
Day 28: Make a playlist of songs that make you feel like dancing.
Day 29: Coffee or tea? Why?
Day 30: What are some things you can’t live without?
