3 Young Conservative Women Who Will Change The World

Right now the conservative movement is growing extremely fast. College students from around the United States are fighting for what they believe in. Young conservative women are stepping up to speak their mind. Last week Turning Point USA is an organization with the mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government. Last week they held their third annual Young Women's Leadership Summit. At this event they not only hosted many conservative leaders and speakers but held activism training and networking events. At this event I had the opportunity to meet many of these young women. Five of them stood out to me.

Delainey Claire Trost:

She is a student at Illinois State University studying political science and pre-law studies. She has been a member of Turning Point USA since the Fall of 2016. " Delainey attended the Winter in West Palm Beach retreat in December, attended the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, and just attended the Young Women’s Leadership Summit with Turning Point in June. Best decision ever. I went into college knowing I wanted to study politics then attend law school. That all changed after I started getting involved in Turning Point. I knew I was worth more. I knew I could do more for the conservative movement. I decided law school was no longer going to cut it for me. I’d rather do something more with my life. Getting involved with Turning Point USA has had such a long-lasting impact on my life. If you have the opportunity to get involved with Turning Point USA- DO IT."

Katie Ward:

Katie has practically been raised in the world of politics. As a leader she runs the organization Students for Ward. She works with young adults, undergraduate and graduate students working to get Dr. Kelli Ward elected to the United States Senate. When asked about her leadership as the head of Students for Ward, Jacob Martinez had this to say: "Katie's an excellent person to work with, she'll always make sure that you know what you're doing, and will do whatever she can to help you be successful. She always keeps a fun, energetic environment, which says a lot when it's 110 degrees outside." Katie studied History at Arizona State University. She is also a member of Turning Point USA.

Katie had this to say about Turning Point's Summit: "#YWLS2017 has come to a close, and I am so thankful for Turning Point USA. TPUSA has brought me new friends, new points of view, and a renewed sense of passion for the mission. Let's get to work!"

Grace Nicole Jackson:

Grace studied Business Marketing at the University of Wyoming. She has been a member of Turning Point USA for a little under two years. In a public post about to Charlie Kirk founder of Turning Point USA Grace had this to say " I'm so thankful that you have given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and become a leader in the free market movement!" She is strong, a fighter and has an energy that just lights up a room. I saw her multiple times at YWLS and you can just see how energtic and willing to learn she is. Grace's YWLS journey can be seen here.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
