Top 3 Things To Boost Your Knowledge On Pokémon

Pokémon has made an incredible come back due to Niantic's new mobile game, "Pokémon Go." However, some "Pokémon Go" players do not have full knowledge on the basics of Pokémon. So to help players who are new to the Pokémon world here is a list of things to help you boost your knowledge and become the very best.

1. The Games

Pokémon has been around for many years and has entertained generation after generation, ever since its first appearance in the 90s as Pocket monsters. All because of the developers at Game Freak, fans of all ages have been able to enjoy the world of Pokémon and continue to enjoy them until this day.

However, to become a Pokémon Master, players must gain some basic knowledge about the Pokémon world. Something that can help gain this knowledge is by playing Pokémon games. Playing the games can help players learn the names of each Pokémon and learn how to defeat other players/Pokémon in a strategic fashion.

See in the Pokémon world each Pokémon is a different type. Meaning some are fire, water, grass, and so much more. There are 18 different types of Pokémon but over 300 unique combinations of those types. Playing the games will help Pokémon trainers learn ways to win a Pokémon battle by using strategic skills.

Not only will players learn how to defeat their opponents, but they will also learn all the different kinds of Pokémon they can capture. When playing a Pokémon game, players enter a whole world dedicated to Pokémon and will have the chance to catch and train their favorite Pokémon to start their journey to become "the very best."

There are a variety of games to choose from. However, for fans who wish to learn the first generation of Pokémon, the three games that would be best to play would be Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow. Each game can be purchased virtually on your Nintendo 3DS game store.

2. The Show

Another helpful tool that trainers can use is by watching Pokémon's popular television show, which can be found on Netflix. The show first aired in the 90s and has continued to for 16 seasons. The show enabled fans to witness their favorite Pokémon really come to life and experience the journeys of Ash Ketchum and his friends.

Trainers will be able to learn so much by watching the show. Trainers will grasp knowledge on Pokémon's type, evolution, environment and skills. In addition, because of Ash's lack of Pokémon strategy and his need to be the best Pokémon trainer, trainers are able to learn from his mistakes.

"Pokémon," the television show, helps trainers understand the basic knowledge of Pokémon and encourage trainers to "catch 'em all." The show has taught generations of trainers about Pokémon and how to become a true Pokémon master.

3. Pokédex App

In the Pokémon world, there are constant discoveries of new species of Pokémon and something that has constantly been used to keep track of these Pokémon is a device known as a Pokédex. A Pokédex is a digital encyclopedia that was created by Professor Oak as a tool for trainers in the Pokémon world. For years, trainers have used the Pokédex to learn about Pokémon and where to find them. Although the Pokédex is well known within the Pokémon world, there are apps within the Apple App Store and the Google Play store that allow real life Pokémon trainers to access this encyclopedia.

These apps can be quite useful when playing any Pokémon game. The apps allow players to look through an entire encyclopedia of Pokémon and learn about their evolution, weaknesses, skills, strengths and so much more. The player will also be able to learn where to find certain Pokémon within certain games.

Two apps that are highly reccomended are Pokeinfo, which can be found in the Google Play store, and Pokeref, which can be purchased on the Apple App Store for $0.99. Trainers can also use the Pokémon website's Pokédex.

Pokémon has been popular for people of all ages. It has brought a variety of people together and continues to do so for generations. Many fans have had the pleasure to grow with Pokémon by their side. However, there are people who have never played a single Pokémon game or watched a single episode of the television show. So, I hope this list will help you become an excellent Pokémon trainer and "catch 'em all."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
