My best friend from Chicago visited me a couple days ago and it was all good... until we arrived late at the airport the day that she was supposed to leave and she missed her flight... so here are 3 things I learned because of that!!

1. Get to the airport way ahead of time.

I mean way ahead of time. Counting traffic time but also, you might end up missing your flight, like my friend did. In our case, we only left one hour or so before the flight so we got to the airport 10 minutes past the boarding time... not a good sign.

2. Always bring a charger inside.

You never know how long you will have to wait inside. So, unless you want to sit there waiting to do nothing, you will want a charger to make sure you at least have your phone!!

3. Bring a jacket, always.

I did not bring a jacket inside the airport when I went in to drop my friend off; who knew she would miss her flight and it would result in a 4-hour long wait?? Always bring a jacket even if you think it's gonna be a simple 20-minute drop-off!
