DC is one of the most well-known movie franchise's in the world, but what is sad is that it is lagging behind it's biggest competitor Marvel.DC has to make three major changes in order to reach Marvel. Here are the top three things DC needs to change to reach Marvel in the film industry.

3) Stop trying to be Marvel.

Marvel is by far the most successful film production company on the planet at the moment. This is because they made an action plan many years before they even started Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They created a whole universe within people's hearts which is why people know exactly what, who, and how each movie leads to another. Now, DC on the other hand clearly didn't have an action plan till this March when they released Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which we all know how that ended. Although they did make some individual movies such as Green Lantern, Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Trilogy, they never decided to start linking all the movies together like Marvel till BvS. DC should start thinking of another way to get into the audience's hearts without following the same pattern as Marvel because this will not only make them not unique in filmmaking but will also create a mindset in the viewers that DC is trying to copy Marvel.

2) Know what drives the audience.

Time is changing and people's mindsets are changing on what kind of movies they enjoy watching. DC’s strongest positive is the seriousness they maintain in their films compared to Marvel. The one thing people really love about DC is how they portray the seriousness which satisfies the audience, but what makes this seriousness a negative also is the screenplay in which they make the movie. The Dark Knight Trilogy is by far one of the greatest film trilogies because it not only maintains the seriousness of Batman but also has great screenplay which engages the audience which is why it was a very successful franchise. Films like Green Lantern, Man of Steel, and Batman V Superman were considered to have terrible screenplay which is why they were all box office flops because they weren't able to attract or keep the audience engaged.

1) Warner Bros.

The biggest thing DC needs to change about their films is being produced by Warner Bros. Sorry guys, Warner Bros might be a great film production company when it comes to other film franchise's but for DC they just aren't letting the directors direct the film. Warner Bros isn't hiring the directors to direct but are only hiring them to shoot the film and make sure things go right on set. A simple example would be the director of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, Zack Snyder. Snyder is a very talented filmmaker which can clearly be seen in his previous films such as Dawn of the Dead,Watchmen, and the magnum opus franchise 300, but once he started directing DC films under Warner Bros they seem to have taken complete control over him and his ability to direct. Same thing goes for Martin Campbell, the director of Green Lantern. He made one of the best James Bond movies of all time, Casino Royale, and many more thrillers. Why was he not able to repeat the magic again with a mega budget film starring one of the most popular actors, Ryan Reynolds? It’s because Warner Bros seems to want to make it their way with unnecessary scenes and fights. Although they were able to give us an excellent film franchise in the form of The Dark Knight Trilogy, they weren't able to keep it successful with their latest offerings. Either Warner Bros needs to let the directors handle all the creative work or DC needs another production company.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
