With Thanksgiving approaching and holiday shoppers preparing their lists for the best sales of the year, citizens across the nation are reminded to be extra careful around this time while attending the long-awaited event known as Black Friday. Known for the best opportunities of the year, most especially for Christmas specials, Black Friday has been a huge success for years now. From lengthy lines to unruly customers, those who do plan to attend the phenomenon are reminded that they "better watch out" for any dangers that can possibly interrupt the traditional day of sales and savings. As events unfold across the globe and being in public becomes more life threatening each and every day, enjoying time spent at home and remembering the importance of family is crucial this holiday season. However, with certain precautionary measures and implements like the buddy system, this nationwide event is sure to be a day full of exceptional deals!
1. Customers can be dangerous ... ask yourself, "Is it really worth it?"
When the event first began, customers usually entered their favorite stores with mindsets that the shopping experience would go smoothly and that all of the items on their lists would be found. Over the past few years, however, this national occasion has been found to include more and more cases of violence. With a few years of experience under their belts, most shoppers have learned the proper way to obtain the sales that are on their wish lists. However, some who are newly interested in this propaganda, or in shopping in general, may not have as much luck. It is important to know that those who go shopping, waiting in lines for hours and going on limited hours of sleep, are most likely not going to be in chipper moods. Be sure to have lists prepared, to stay out of the way of those who already have in mind what they plan to purchase, and to remain clear of aisles that seem to be completely inhabited if you do not plan on selecting an item from that part of the store. While it may seem impossible to find what you are looking for, keep in mind that no item is worth getting into an altercation over. Of course, it is likely that a game of tug of war may ensue, but if the situation begins to go beyond that point, ask yourself if it is worth it.
2. Parking can be hectic, and accidents are more likely to occur on busy highways ... ask yourself, "Is this worth risking my life and the life of others over?"
Each year, parking is a crucial factor in maintaining a spot in the store that you have had your eye on for many weeks, especially in larger cities. If parking is an issue, a person may be required to walk longer distances, which can result in accidents outside the store, including being hit by automobiles that may not notice you or getting into altercations with those who insist on having parking near the front of the store. To ensure safety on and off the roads, be sure to leave at an earlier time than expected. This can enable you to reach your destination safely without worry of possible accidents on busy highways, along with having a parking space that better suits your needs. Remember, when speeding to reach your location and rushing to parking spots that may soon be occupied, to ask yourself if it is worth risking your own life, along with the life of others in the process.
3. With attacks occurring across the globe and threats being made across the nation, going to public events in general is dangerous, especially to those who plan to attend largely social activities ... ask yourself, "Is a day of shopping worth it?"
After recent attacks occurring in Paris, France, Black Friday and even Cyber Monday shoppers are encouraged to be extra careful during the holiday season. While chances of attacks are moderately low in occurring in smaller areas, this may pose as a reason for members of dangerous groups like ISIS to attack; larger cities will generally pose a larger threat. Be on the lookout for potentially harmful-looking people, who may be alone and isolated from larger groups inside stores. Remember to ask yourself if the chance is worth a day of shopping, but also be aware that increased security should pose as a safety factor during the event.
With ideas like the buddy system and other previously mentioned recommendations, Black Friday should be a huge success to those who use the tips and ideas mentioned above properly.
Happy Holidays!
