After reading this, maybe you won't either.

Libertarians: considered conservative by most liberals and liberal by most conservatives. Libertarians are known for their position on personal freedoms and liberties, more open borders, less war, less government spending, and Gary Johnson pretending to have a heart attack. The Democrat and Republican responses to Obama's last eight years are pretty predictable. But what about Libertarians? Personally, I think Obama is a cool guy and did an okay job as this nation's leader. However, from a Libertarian point of view, there are some serious bones to pick.

1. Bombs away

British news outlet, The Guardian, recently released an article highlighting the Obama administration's use of bombs. In 2016 alone, America dropped 26,171 bombs while Obama was our commander-in-chief. 26,171. That's over 71 bombs per day. Three bombs every hour, 24 hours a day, and your tax dollars payed for it. Keep in mind, these bombs were delivered with love to the Middle East and Africa by the dude who one the Nobel peace prize in 2009. Obama's extrajudicial, omnipresent drone usage has set a dangerous precedent in the White House. At least Obama's predecessor isn't an egotistical megalomaniac...oh wait.

2. War, war, war

In addition to the half-hazard bombing of half the world, Mr. Obama has been at war longer than any president in America's history (as reported by The New York Times). Granted, he did inherit a mess from George W. and has scaled back operations in most places. Nonetheless, any illusion of Obama being an anti-war president dissipated as reality proved otherwise these past eight years. As a wise man once said, "War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing."

3. Double the debt

Bombs are expensive. So were most of Obama's policies. (Although it seems not even Republicans care about a balanced budget anymore.) The Washington Times once described Obama as "the $20 trillion man." Thanks to Obama's latest spending agreement, when he leaves office the USA will be $20 trillion in debt. 20,000,000,000,000. When Obama came into the White House, this nation owed it's lenders $10.6 trillion, meaning he has nearly doubled our debt.

Though his farewell speech was emotional, and he was well-liked, some of Obama's policies will not be missed. Especially not by Libertarians. I wish Obama the best of luck in his next endeavors. Who knows, maybe in four years even Libertarians will wish they had him back. But probably not.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
