It's that special time of the year when college kids are the most stressed, but also the happiest they will ever be. It's almost the end of the semester and many of us already have our beach bags packed for this summer. While some have internships and jobs, for those, like myself who refuse to grow up, our summer will be planned by things that won't pay us, educate us, or are 100% safe. For those who have an open calendar for the summer ahead, here are somethings you may be able to add.
1. Hike A Mountain
...or two or three. Hiking is the perfect way to spend quality time with those you miss when you are away at college. It's an awesome way to get that fresh air you've been deprived of in the library and away to literally and figuratively expand your horizons. Don't worry if the closest mountain is an hour or more away, remember it's about the journey, not the destination. Enjoy a fun-filled car ride with friends along with a hike!
2. Two words... Ice Cream (or is that one...?)
Those late summer nights with the orange and purple skies can be even more memorable with a extra large ice cream cone in your hand. Whether you're a mint chocolate chip person, a double brownie chocolate, or plain vanilla type, the dripping off the cone will bring a smile to your face. Our favorite parlors and shops are open that serve the most mouth-watering ice-cream and the summer is the best time to learn what flavor best suits you. Why work for a bikini body when you can eat ice-cream (even in a bikini if you want to).
3. Attend a Concert
While seeing your favorite artist would be awesome, and if you are able to by all means go for it, half the fun of a concert is the atmosphere. Buy yourself a pair of cheap tickets to a grass area concert and immerse yourself in the electricity of the crowd!
