Companionship.

We all yearn for it in one form or another, but as most of us are incredibly busy juggling school, jobs, parenthood and other personal and professional obligations, there just isn't enough hours in a day so some of us tend to turn into that friend that people only speak to over Facebook every couple of months to see if you're still alive.

But although that keeps us in touch with old friends, what about those who enjoy meeting new people?

Well to help with that, I'm here to suggest a few apps for you. I know some of you are probably thinking "Didn't she just write an article about Millennials spending way too much time on their phones?" Well, you're still on your devices and I'm still distracting you from the exciting things going on around you. (#TeamWork!)

1. Bumble

Bumble is an online app that can be used for multiple purposes. Bumble is Primarily a dating app where the women have to respond first. Sorry guys, no matter how bad you want to write first, she has to be the one to make the first move. The catch? In order for her to respond to you first, you both have to be interested in each other. After you both swipe right signifying that you both find each other attractive, she has 24 hours to hit you with her best pick up line. The men also have 24 hours to respond to the women for the first time. Consequence??? The conversation will time out and you would have missed your window of opportunity!

The site is also LGBT friendly giving you an option to select between Men, Women or Men & Women or toggle back and forth between the three.

The fourth option is BFF! You can also use the app to find new people to hang out with and it's just as simple. Swipe left to pass on the person or swipe right is you're interested in starting a Bumble friendship. The same rule applies, with each person having 24 hours to reach out to their potential new BFF before the portal between worlds closes off forever.

2. Happn

Happn is a very interesting dating app. You set up your preference and do absolutely nothing else, but walk outside. Anyone who meets your criteria (and vice versa) and passes by you, will show up on your home page. All they need to do is have the app. The app does not need to be up and running for it to work and for those of you who are worried about being found on the site by fellow co-workers or neighbors who may also have the app. There is a setting to deactivate the app for eight hours, as well. This means that you will not appear on anyone else's timeline so long as that setting is enabled.

You can send charms out to people immediately letting them know that you are interested in them and wait for them to contact you. Or you can send someone a secret like.

The thing with secret likes is that the person will not know whether or not you sent them one unless they send you a secret like in return. In that case the app will let you know that it's a crush! you will both find out that you like each other and an option to communicate with each other will appear in your inbox.

3. Grouper

Grouper is an app that allows you to meet new people with your friends. Anonymously pick friends-of-friends who you would like to hang out with and if it's mutual, the app will plan an outing for you. No messaging needed. The apps scheduling tool coordinates with your friends to figure out the best time. All you have to do is show up and hang out with friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
