28 Reasons Why I Love 'The Bachelor'

Anyone who knows me probably knows that I love "The Bachelor." This is not some fling I'm having with the reality show of the moment but a long lasting obsession going all the way back to my days in middle school. I watched most of Jake's season, but I became truly obsessed when I watched Brad's second season. Many of my friends who don't watch "The Bachelor" scoff at me for watching such a silly show, but when I first started watching, it was exactly what I needed. For my fellow "Bachelor" nation people, let me clarify that I am not a Brad Womack fan (although Emily Maynard is one of my all time favorites), but I love the drama.

I don't think this is high-intellect TV, but I love the fights and the game changers and getting to know all the quirky characters and the chance that they might find love, as silly as that sounds. I love "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," "Bachelor Pad" (RIP) and "Bachelor in Paradise." I love that it gives me a reason to bond with the people I love. My mom and I have been watching "The Bachelor" together for years, and it was always a way for us to set time aside together every week. I have brought most of my friends in on this obsession and I love the Monday night bonding that comes from talking about who is the crazy girl this year and who our favorites are. So here are just of a few of my favorite things about "The Bachelor":

1.How Chris Harrison always convinces us this is the most dramatic season of "The Bachelor" ever.

2. Kardashly looking like Kim Kardashian when she cries.

3. Just all the tears.

4. The greatest one-liners of all time.

5. The crazy extents these women go to get a rose from a guy they barely know.

6. The aggressive girl that we all love to hate.

7. Courtney and all her crazy "winning."

8. Olivia bringing the winning, and our hatred back, too.

9. Tierra's sparkle and her eyebrows and her breakdowns.

10. The most dramatic cat fights ever.

11. Nick Viall and that one time he spilled the beans and made Bachelor Nation hate him.

12. When Nick and Shawn dude-fought.

13. Emily Maynard, the sweet single mom who tells it like it is.

14. When Andi finally dumped Juan Pabs — it's definitely not OK.

15. All of the tearful and dramatic goodbyes.

16. The most beautiful human beings in the world being afraid of being unloveable.

17. The wink, the "es OK," the "I like you." Juan Pablo was a top notch jerk.

18. When the lead inevitably falls in love with literally everyone, including the raccoons.

19. All the virgins looking for love seem to show up on this show.

20. Everyone questioning everyone else's intentions.

21. Lucy the free spirit.

22. Where do they even get these people?

23. The girl who makes us question everything we thought about the show and the world.

24. The crazy girl.

25. The healer with anger management issues.

26. Hot, shirtless guys, especially Sean Lowe, the most perfect man in "Bachelor" history and the world.

27. Sean and Catherine and how they are everything I want to be.

28. How every season just keeps getting more entertaining. Thanks Olivia, and good luck, Ben.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
