30 Things We've Said To Our Roommates
Odyssey

The years of our twenties are the best. We are young enough to be care-free, gain experience and have fun while doing so. The best part about the twenties is having our first (usually) apartment/house with a friend/roommate (a froommate, if you will). And the things we do and say to each other. Here's a list we've all said to our roommates at one point or another.

1. "Is today garbage day?"

2. "Don't you have class in five minutes?!"

3. "Don't sleep in your makeup! You'll get pimples!"

4. "Wait, I have the perfect *insert article of clothing here* for you!"

5. "You look so cute, let's take a picture."

6. "Can we use ground basil instead?"

7. "Do we have more garlic?"

8. "Did you see the article in Us Weekly about 'This Is Us'?!"

9. "Can you do my hair?"

10. "Can you like my picture on Instagram?"

11. "Want to go to Target?"

12. "Can you like my picture on Facebook?"

13. "OMG look what *insert boy you like here* said!"

14. "Want to get ice cream and eat pizza?"

15. "Can we go out dancing tonight?"

19. *From bathroom* "Can you bring me my towel?"

20. "Can you hook my straps together?"

21. "What movie should we watch on Netflix?"

22. "I just did *insert embarrassing thing here* and never want to show my face in public again."

23. "Is it gross if I don't do laundry until I go to my parents' next month?"

24. "This recipe I made up is actually pretty tolerable!"

25. "Can we renew our lease next year?"

26. "Crap, I forgot to put out the garbage cans."

27. "What should I caption this?"

28. "Can I borrow that?"

29. "Do you think he's cute?"

30. "Boys are stupid."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
